KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- WMU President John Dunn delivered his latest State of the University address last evening, outlining the list of accomplishments in the past year, the new medical school, the completion of Sangren Hall, the beginning of work on a new set of west campus apartments, the athletic successes, the academic achievements and the new projects.He says Western is a “learner centered, discovery driven and a globally engaged” university that is vibrant, focused, healthy, efficient and committed to the and wellbeing of the students and the nation.He also urged students and staff to start using three if those phrases when ever they talk about the school...and to talk about the importance of higher education in general. The annual address is part of a convocation that includes a faculty awards ceremony.
