(CLEVELAND, OH) (1660 THE FAN) - Despite its sub .500 record, the Cleveland Indians have been a thorn in the side of the Tigers...except Friday night.  Another pitching gem from Justin Verlander, and four runs in the first two innings, added up to a 4-0 whitewash of Cleveland.  The win insures that Detroit won't lose any ground to Chicago, which leads the Tigers by one game in the AL Central.  Game two of the weekend series is Saturday, with broadcast time on 590 WKZO set for 3:40 pm.
