EAST LANSING, MI (1660 THE FAN) - With new players in key positions, #13 Michigan State had reasons for concern entering their 2012 opening game against Boise State. One of the newbies is QB Andrew Maxwell, who started well but threw three interceptions, one for a pick 6, but the Spartans persevered, scoring a 4th quarter TD on a Le'Veon Bell run, and edged the Broncos 17-13. Next up for the Spartans- a trip to Mt. Pleasant, to take on Central Michigan.
