SAN FRANCISCO (1660 THE FAN) - After playing so hard to get to the World Series, the Tigers aren't doing well thus far, losing 2-0 to the Giants tonight. San Francisco is now 2-0 in the series, but the teams head over to Comerica Park for game 3, which might put the Tigers a little more at ease. Detroit has now been shut out twice in the postseason which matches their shutout games during the entire season.

Starter Doug Fister didn't play poorly by any means, striking out three and allowing only one run before he was relieved by Drew Smyly (and all this after taking a line drive off the head,) but Giants starter Madison Bumgarner was on fire, striking out 8 in his 7 innings.

Hopefully a day off and the homefield advantage is what the Tigers need. Catch game three on AM 590 WKZO Saturday at 7 pm.
