KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The Kalamazoo League for Women Voters tries to present balanced information on candidates and issues that cuts thru the fog of negative advertising, and former Co-President Connie Ferguson says this fall’s election has been a real challenge. She says especially on the statewide referendums. She says multi-million dollar ad campaigns have pumped out alot of misinformation about the issues.
Ferguson says there are more issues, more candidates and more races than they usually have to publicize at one election. She says this year they have published a newspaper style election guide and they put the guide on a website. www.lwvka.org
They held a forum for candidates for Kalamazoo County Sheriff and Prosecutor Wednesday night that was co-sponsored by the Bar Association.
