(SAN FRANCISCO) (1660 THE FAN) - Justin Verlander may want to think twice about pitching in San Francisco's AT&T Park again - ever. Touched for five runs and the loss in the All-Star Game...at AT&T Park...Verlander hoped to make amends in Game 1 of the World Series. No such luck. The Tigers' ace gave up five runs in four innings, including two home runs to Pablo Sandoval, as Detroit lost 8-3 to the Giants. Sandoval added a third home run to become just the fourth player in history to hit three homers in a World Series game. Barry Zito turned in another solid performance for Bruce Bochy's squad, who will take a 1-0 lead into Thursday's Game 2. Doug Fister will take the mound for the Tigers, while the Giants counter with Madison Bumgarner. Broadcast time on 590 WKZO is set for 7p.
