DETROIT (WKZO) -- Defense-industry companies in the Metro Detroit area are bracing for possible job cuts.
Employers say that thousands of jobs could be lost if Congress and President Barack Obama don't reach a deal before the end of the year to prevent defense cuts. If a deal is not reached, the Defense Department faces a 50 to 60-million-dollar cut in January.
Michigan's defense sector could see a loss of over 14-thousand-jobs.
