LANSING (WKZO) -- A 53-year-old Jackson man who has been eluding police was captured last night in Ingham County.

Ricky Wheeldon was in a vehicle that was pulled over in Leslie Township near Lansing.  Wheeldon was accused of running a drug and theft ring and was convicted by a jury in Jackson County in May of running a criminal enterprise.

Police found a loaded gun and methamphetamine in the car during the traffic stop.  Wheeldon is now being held in the Jackson County Jail.
