GALESBURG (WKZO) -- Parents and school administrators gathered again Thursday night at Galesburg-Augusta Schools to talk about their school bus issues. It quickly turned into a workshop on how to improve discipline on the buses to prevent the kind of incident that sparked this latest tension between parents and the district.
A busing supervisor was fired after a student with a cell phone shot her shoving a seven-year-old against the glass. Heidi Mullen has her own video that she claims shows the child's behavior leading up to the shove that she says explains her actions.
School officials plan to form a permanent bus committee to overseas behavior and discipline issues on the buses.
