DETROIT (WKZO) -- The Detroit Tigers will have to wait one more day for their chance to sweep the New York Yankees in the American League Championship Series. Game 4 was officially rained out follow a night of consistantly bad weather in Detroit.
Major League Baseball and the Tigers said: "Based on the forecast for inclement weather for the remainder of the evening, Game Four of the 2012 American League Championship Series between the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park has been postponed in an effort to preserve the integrity of an uninterrupted full nine-inning game. Game Four of the ALCS has been rescheduled for Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 4:07 p.m."
The Tigers and Yankees will play game 4 Thursday with coverage beginning at 3:40 on AM 590 WKZO.
