KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- One of the candidates for Kalamazoo County Prosecutor is already working in that office - as an assistant prosecutor.
Scott Pierangeli tells WKZO he is already working on a checklist of items he would get working on immediately, were he to be elected.
"First and foremost, I would have a senior attorney assigned to focus on the elder abuse cases we have seen with the financial scamming going on over the Internet," Pierangeli said. "I would also continue talking in schools...and get in the neighborhoods with the neighborhood prosecution program."
Pierangeli said he was inspired by former prosecutor Jim Gregart, who spoke to a gathering of people about his job. Pierangeli said he immediately wanted to go to law school. He also completed a program geared especially for those who want to be prosecutors.
Prosecutor Jeff Fink is retiring from the post this year. Pierangeli faces opponent Jeff Getting on election day. Hear the whole interview with Scott Pierangeli from The Lori Moore Show here.
