(OAKLAND, CA) (1660 THE FAN) - The answer to the question, "who ya gonna call", used to be 'Ghostbusters'.  Nowadays, the answer is 'Verlander'.  The Tigers' ace shut down Oakland's bats in a must-win game...and Detroit is headed to the American League Championship Series for the second straight year.  The 6-0 win gave the Tigers a 3-2 series win, and they will meet the winner of the Baltimore/New York series for the right to represent the AL in the World Series.  Verlander never allowed the A's into the game, pitching a complete game and striking out 11.  The Tigers will begin the ALCS on Friday, time and location TBA pending the Orioles/Yankees outcome.
