(DETROIT, MI) (1660 THE FAN) - The last time the Detroit Tigers made it to the World Series, it was 2006, and they went through the Oakland Athletics.  If they want to get back, they're going to have to go through Oakland again.  Jose Valverde blew a 3-1 lead in the 9th inning, and Oakland defeated the Tigers 4-3.  Coco Crisp smacked a game-winning single, as Oakland won in its last at-bat for the 15th time this season.  The loss evens Detroit with the A's, 2 games all, with the deciding game Thursday night.  Broadcast time on AM 590 WKZO is 9:10 pm.
