PAW PAW (WKZO) -- Fruit farmers who want and need more information about low interest loans and crop insurance programs are being invited to the Michigan State University Extension Southwest Michigan Research and Extension Center next week. On the agenda will be the 2012 Michigan Agriculture Disaster Loan Program, which is offering one-percent interest loans to be paid back over five years to cover losses caused by the weather this year.
The meeting is free, but attendees are asked to RSVP with the Berrien County MSU Extension Office by October 16. It will be held Thursday, October 18th, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
