DETROIT (WKZO) -- A new EPIC-MRA poll shows Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney closing the gap among Michigan voters.
Of those polled, 48-percent say that if the election were held today they would vote for President Obama with 45-percent saying they would vote for Romney. It's a stark change from last month when the poll results showed 47-percent favoring Obama and 37-percent supporting Romney.
Analysts say that Romney's strong performance in last week's debate is the major contributing factor to this surge in the polls.
