KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office says an arrest has been made of an inmate who walked away from a work site, but not until after a high speed chase.
29-year-old Ross Emerson Culver was arrested Thursday morning in Cooper County, Missouri. A car that he was driving was flagged as stolen by a license plate reader unit that notified area police agencies.
When law enforcement tried to pull Culver over, he took off, leading police on a chase that lasted nearly half an hour at speeds of up to 100 miles-per-hour. They say he gave a false name and it took them a few hours to sort out his true identity.
Culver's now being held in the Cooper County Jail on multiple charges.
