KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The holidays are fast approaching and, as if it was not already obvious, the weekend events list shows it.

This weekend, the Festival of Trees is underway at the St. Julian Winery in Paw Paw.

"This runs through December first," according to Renee Newman with Discover Kalamazoo. "They are decorating Christmas trees, offering food and wine, face painting and all sorts of activities for children."

Another holiday tradition is underway Friday and Saturday at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts.

The KIA Holiday Sale features pottery, jewelry and other offerings.
