DETROIT (WKZO) -- Personal income in Michigan is rising steadily. According to figures released by the U.S. Department of Commerce, a number of Michigan communities saw incomes rise in 2011.
The Monroe areas' per capita income rose the most in 2011, 6.6-percent, followed by Detroit-Livonia-Warren which saw a 6.2-percent jump. Lansing showed the least per capita increase at 3.1-percent. Ann Arbor topped the state for personal income at 40,800-dollars.
