THREE RIVERS (WKZO) -- He allegedly stole from kids and now the former president of the Three Rivers Little League has been formally charged with one count of embezzling less than 20-thousand dollars from a non-profit, a ten-year felony.
37 year-old Clint Roberts has also been charged with being a habitual offender for two previous convictions for a minor criminal sexual conduct count in the early 90’s and attempted false pretenses 11 years ago. That could add time if he is convicted.
They say Roberts spent some of the money on two lawn mowers that he took home and did not use to mow the ball diamonds.
League officials began to notice discrepancies in the books in October and an investigation followed. He has already paid back $3,000 but they suspect he took much more than that.
