KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Kalamazoo County Sheriff's deputies are asking for the public's help in locating Lamir Britton, who is still on the loose after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend twice, stealing and wrecking her car, and leading police on a high speed chase a week ago Tuesday.

Deputies say first the 28-year-old beat assaulted his girlfriend before leaving, then returning with a knife to assault her again.  After that he allegedly stole her car, resulting in a high speed chase that ended on Gull Road when police used stop sticks to blow out his tires.

The vehicle crashed in front of a party store and they say Britton fled from the scene.
