KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Court documents suggest an infant found dead in a Kalamazoo Township apartment a week ago Sunday had numerous bruises, suggesting that the four-month-old boy had been subjected to abuse for some time.

The documents also show that the boy's father, Tahj Lockett, admitted to police that he had been "self-medicating" with marijuana all-day on the day the child suffered fatal injuries, and may have dropped the boy on his head on the day the infant died.

Lockett is being held for first degree child abuse, but may be charged with more serious counts after pathologists have completed their report.
