PAW PAW (WKZO) -- Formal charges will be filed against a South Haven area woman who allegedly led Hartford Police on a high speed chase that left an officer with minor injuries.
It began with a routine stop for improper plates at Center and Shepard in Hartford. The woman gave them a Missouri Driver’s License that belonged to someone else, and when the officer pointed it out, she tried to flee. The Officer grabbed on and was briefly dragged but let go and managed to give chase in his cruiser.
They say the woman tried to shake the officers by trying to ram the cruiser. The chase ended when she went into a ditch off Red Arrow near 59-1/2 St. She ran into the woods and had to be tracked down by a K-9. When they found her she allegedly resisted arrest.
She is expected to be charged with multiple felonies, including fleeing and eluding and resisting, and perhaps a few others today.
