KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The curtain has come down for the final time on the movies at the Rave theatre in downtown Kalamazoo.
It leaves about 100 employees out of work just in time for the holidays. They declined comment, saying the decision came at the corporate level. Their lease apparently ends Friday, and an agreement that would keep them operating thru the Christmas movie season apparently fell though.
DKI officials say they are being assured that another movie firm plans to take over the facility but they would need some time to make over the place. An announcement could come soon.
