KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- A 41-year-old Kalamazoo Township man has been taken into custody on parental kidnapping charges after he allegedly removed his two boys from Martin Luther King Elementary without authorization Monday afternoon.  Staff contacted police because he was a non-custodial parent and were able to give them information about the man.

Law enforcement went to his address in the 800-block of Woodward in the city and confronted the suspect, who resisted and has been lodged in the Kalamazoo County Jail pending formal charges from the prosecutor's office.  The boys were retrieved and returned to their custodial parent.
