KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Just in time for the most family-centric holiday of the year, Kalamazoo County Health Officials are noting an uptick in norovirus cases in schools and nursing homes.
The bug infected so many at Portage Central Elementary that they closed the place for a day on Friday.
Health officials say if you want to avoid coming down with the debilitating but rarely life-threatening bug, they suggest frequent hand washing is a good way to protect yourself. Washing down shared surfaces with chlorine bleach is also a good idea.
