Four border patrol officers descended on the funnywoman as she disembarked from a fishing boat on the Swale Estuary near Kent, England after they received a tip-off regarding a suspicious group of people.

Rivers, her daughter Melissa, and her TV crew were questioned for several minutes at the scene before officials recognised Rivers.

The funnywoman, who was filming a segment for her new TV show Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best!, insists the incident was amusing and admits she thought her questioners were good-looking.

She says, ""Even though we were innocent I am so sorry they didn't arrest us. I love Englishmen and they were very cute!""
