KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- A 16-year-old Kalamazoo Central High student is facing weapons charges and likely expulsion after showing up at school with a loaded handgun on Friday.
Staff had gotten word that the boy may be in possession of the gun and the student was confronted by staff. He produced a small two shot .22 caliber pistol with just one bullet in it.
He was reportedly reacting to threats against him made on facebook.
Staff contacted Kalamazoo Township Police who arrested the boy for carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon in a school zone. He has been lodged in the juvenile home pending a review of the case by the prosecutor.
