PAW PAW (WKZO) -- Van Buren County Prosecutors intend to try a man they say is responsible for three deaths in a traffic collision this week with murder.
32-year-old David Johnson, who is suspected in the death of two young children and a young woman will be charged with three counts of 2nd degree murder and 8 other counts when he is well enough. Johnson is still recovering at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.
The Prosecutor has already issued the warrant listing murder counts, three counts of driving drunk causing death and various other charges involving alcohol, and driving on a suspended license.
Van Buren County Deputies say it was Johnson who pulled out to pass a car in his Pick-up and slammed head on into a car killing 24-year-old Brittney King, and two toddlers, Kandice and Cassadi Berryhill. The fourth occupant of that car, Justin Berryhill is recovering from serious injuries.
