LANSING (WKZO) -- Friday is the deadline for Michigan to declare if it will form its own federally mandated health exchange.  States must declare their intentions, however the deadline to submit applications for the healthcare exchange has been extended until December 14th.

Governor Rick Snyder has proposed a state-run Internet-based health exchange, which was approved by the Senate but stalled in the House.  Snyder hopes House members will reconsider the plan in the wake of President Obama's re-election.
