KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Downtown officials have an official statement following reports about the decision by the Rave theatre chain not to renew their lease.

It basically says the Show will go on...or at least they think so.

DKI officials say that the property owner is very confident that a lease agreement with a new operator will be signed within weeks. That part of the negotiations involved making sure that the theatre remained open for the Christmas season, and would not go dark until early January to allow changes to signage by the new operator.

They also say that the new operator will offer a unique movie experience, without offering details.
