COVERT (WKZO) -- After a nearly 69-hour shutdown, the Palisades nuclear power plant is back in operation. The plant was powered down on Sunday after workers found a steam leak in a pipe that couldn't be fixed while it was in operation. The nuclear facility began powering back up Wednesday afternoon, and should be at full power within the next few days.
