LANSING (WKZO) -- The Michigan House will remain in Republican control for the next two years, but the GOP did lose some seats. Despite controversy over his role orchestrating the last-minute party switch of Representative Roy Schmidt in Grand Rapids from Democrat to Republican, House Speaker Jase Bolger has been reelected. Democrats did, however, pick up at least two seats in the election.
