KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Representative Sean McCann (D-Kalamazoo) will get another term in Lansing representing Kalamazoo, but wonders how much will change.
"[Democrats] did pick up five seats, which puts us more toward a balanced House, but not the ability to set the agenda, unfortunately," McCann told WKZO.
McCann has been vocal about a Republican majority in the Michigan House, which he feels has eliminated compromise or bipartisanship. But, he said, Tuesday's results send a message.
"A lot of folks who lost seats have been involved in raising the senior pension tax and I think that's a message in itself," he said. "You hear mixed messages about education cuts," he added.
