WIXOM (WKZO) -- Wixom Police have released new photos of what they are calling a “witness” they want to talk to. Wixom Police Director Clarence Goodlein says they just want to ask him a few questions.
He drives a newer model black Chevy Malibu. He roughly matches the description of the gunman they are looking for, and his car also fits the profile, but all they have is surveillance photos from a Mobil Gas Station last Friday, and there have been incidents of police drawing their guns on men who roughly match the description but are perfectly innocent, so for now they are just calling him a witness.
More Michigan State Police troopers will patrol I-96 in the West Michigan area because of the roadway shootings east of Lansing. They are also beefing up patrols on the other side of the capitol. Officers say its a precautionary move. The shooter has put bullets in two dozen cars and wounded one motorist in the I-96 corridor between Lansing and Detroit.
Only three of the shootings actually took place along the freeway. The others were nearby. Police say there's no evidence the suspect will target West Michigan next, but they're not taking any chances.
