DETROIT (WKZO) -- Detroit Mayor Dave Bing says this year's three-day period known as Angels' Night was a success with fires at an all-time low.
According to the mayor, a total of 93 fires were reported citywide October 29th through the 31st, the lowest number since the effort began in 1995, and he gives the credit to police officers, firefighters and the more than five-thousand volunteers who patrolled the streets of Detroit. Police officials also said there were 50 curfew violations during the three-day period, a drop from 123 last year.
