JACKSON COUNTY (WKZO) -- A Jackson woman claimed she lived with the dead body of her boyfriend propped up in a living room chair for a year and a half because she didn’t want to live without Charles Ziglar’s companionship.
She was charged with not wanting to live without his pension checks, which she continued to cash. Now a deal has been struck with Linda Chase. She pled guilty this week to two counts of theft by conversion and in exchange more serious forgery charges were dropped.
The 72-year-old was ordered into Mental Health Court, where she can avoid jail if she sticks to a mental health treatment program. She is now living with family.
