LIVONIA (WKZO) -- U.S. Representative Thaddeus McCotter will run as a write-in candidate for the Republican nomination for the 11th District.
McCotter had turned in the maximum two-thousand petition signatures in an effort to get his name on the November ballott. Many of those signatures, however, were not valid. McCotter says he urges continued investigation into the petitions because everyone deserves to know what happened.
"I feel like George Bailey after Uncle Billy admitted he lost the money," says McCotter. "Like George Bailey, knowing my misplaced trust has negatively impacted so many people is heartrending. Unlike George Bailey, I am not tempted to jump off a bridge."
