FENNVILLE (WKZO) -- Wes Leonard would have graduated last night from Fennville high if he had not died after shooting the winning shot in a basketball game that gave them the perfect season. It was a heart defect that killed him. Last night his girlfriend carried an extra mortar board and each student carried a rose that Wes’s parents took home.

There was also a special memorial at last night’s Plainwell High School Graduation Ceremony as the parents of Patrick McCormick accepted his diploma. The 17-year-old died Tuesday in a Motorcycle accident.
