HOLLAND (WHTC) - A Holland man will find out next month whether he’ll stand trial in the stabbing of a 19-year-old Zeeland man. A preliminary hearing for 22-year-old Angel Moreno began Wednesday in 58th District Court with testimony from some the witnesses to the April 25 incident outside a home in the 400 block of 31st Street, in which the victim was stabbed multiple times. He was treated for non-life threatening injuries at Holland Hospital. District Judge Susan Jonas adjourned the hearing until June 13, when a decision is expected on whether to bind Moreno over to Circuit Court. Moreno, who had been cleared by the state Supreme Court less than a week earlier of a 2009 conviction for resisting and obstructing, remains held in the Ottawa County Jail on $10,000 bond.
