ALLEN PARK (WKZO) -- Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford bid on and won his own auction item at a charity function on Saturday night. Initially, Stafford says, he was bidding on the Lions-Bears Monday night football package in an attempt to drive up the price and raise top dollar for the new children's hospital at the University of Michigan. In the end, though, Stafford made the winning bid of 15-thousand dollars and donated the prize to a Mott Children's Hospital patient and her family.
