HOLLAND (WHTC) - A boxing event that was scheduled for Saturday night at the Civic Center has been scrapped, after promoters said a couple of the fighters didn’t have their medical records sent to them on time. The “Quake at the Lake” was to have featured Holland’s Johnny Garcia, who is undefeated in 12 professional fights, as well as former national Golden Gloves champion Jordan Shimmel of Hudsonville, who was scheduled to make his professional debut. Promoters say they plan to reschedule the fight card once the medical records issues are resolved, and ticket refund information is expected to be available next week.
