Tigers play the good host, lose to Twins 11-7

by

DETROIT, MI (WKZO) - The Minnesota Twins came into Comerica Park Wednesday to start a two-game set with Detroit as the worst team in baseball.  They will leave the same way, but not without enjoying some good ol' Tiger hospitality, as Detroit fell behind early on and ultimately dropped an 11-7 verdict to the Twins.  Detroit actually scored five runs in the 2nd inning to take a 6-5 lead, but allowed the Twins to score in all but three innings to claim the victory.  Duane Below lost his first game of the season, and Detroit lost CF Austin Jackson in the 4th inning with an abdominal strain.  Jackson is day-to-day.  Game two of the short series is Thursday afternoon- broadcast time on AM 590 WKZO is 12:40 pm.
