STURGIS (WKZO) -- A weekend traffic stop in Sturgis led to another meth lab bust. Around 2 a.m. Saturday Sturgis Police made a traffic stop and found three inactive one-pot meth labs in the trunk of the car.
Police say that a middle-aged white male that was a passenger in the vehicle attempted to flee, but he was apprehended with help from a taser, and he was subsequently arrested for the meth lab and possession of brass knuckles. He allegedly gave false information about his identity. It turns out he had three outstanding warrants for his arrest in connection with making meth.
The driver, a middle-aged white female, was arrested for obstructing a police investigation, and a weapons offense. They were taken to the St. Joseph County Jail.
