LANSING (WKZO) -- West Michigan Representative Tom Hooker wants to see more attention dealing with concussions in high school athletics. He has introduced legislation he believes will protect young athletes from brain injuries on the playing fields. Concussions became more prevalent with the suicides of former NFL players Junior Seau and Dave Duerson. It's believed concussions were a factor in their suicides.
