KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- There will be an added extra attraction when golfers head out to Milham Park, Kalamazoo’s most popular municipal golf course this season.
City Commissioners have voted to transfer a Class C Liquor License that had been assigned to the Mayors Riverfront Ballpark, and largely unused since the Kalamazoo Kings abdicated, to the golf clubhouse on Lovers Lane.
It should help boost income for the Municipal Golf Association, which has seen its revenue drop in recent years due to the economy and increased competition from private courses. They estimate it will generate as much as $25-thousand this year and twice that in subsequent years.
