KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office has issued a warning to businesses in the area about a man posing as a Consumer's Energy employee. They say the man is presenting counterfeit payroll checks from the energy company and using a counterfeit Consumer's Energy identification card to back up his claim.
The subject is described as a white male in his forties, standing five-feet eight-inches in height, and weighing around 250-pounds with a large stomach. He was last seen driving an older model dark blue minivan with paint damage on one side.
The suspect has reportedly committed similar incidents of fraud in other parts of the state. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff's department or call Silent Observer.
