EDEN, WI (WTAQ) - A Fond du Lac County man has died after his tractor went off a road and into a ditch. 69-year-old George Weiss of rural Eden died at the scene. Sheriff’s deputies said he was spreading manure Sunday evening when the spreading unit stopped working. He later drove on a roadway with an uneven load – and that’s how the machine got out of control. Once it got in the ditch, Weiss was trapped underneath. Sheriff’s deputies and the county medical examiner’s office are still investigating the incident.
