KALAMAZOO(WKZO) -- Former State House Representative Jack Hoogendyk has notified his supporters by E-Mail that he is suspending his campaign, but only for 72-hours so he could drive down to Indiana this weekend. He is helping a Tea-Party candidate who is trying to upset long time republican Senator Dick Lugar in Tuesday’s primary. State Treasurer Richard Mourdock is the republican candidate. Hoogendyk calls Lugar a RINO...that’s Republican in Name Only, and says his defeat would be a Bellwether, and send the message of no more status quo to mainstream RINO Republicans everywhere.
Meanwhile back here in Michigan’s 6th district, Incumbent Fred Upton raised 13-times as much money as Hoogendyk in the first quarter of the year and has 32-times as much money to spend heading into the August Primary.
