KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- While a lot of units are coming home from Afghanistan as the U.S. phases out its involvement, some units are still going over. That’s the case for the Kalamazoo based 507th Engineering Battalion.

About 160 members of the unit will be departing Saturday after 2PM ceremonies at Portage Northern High School. Their job will be route clearance...which means it will be their job to make sure roads are swept and cleared of improvised explosive devices.
