DETROIT, MI (WKZO) - The Detroit Tigers haven't been able to shake the Kansas City Royals in the last few game. Oh, the Tigers would win, but the games would be close...until Monday night. In the friendly confines of Comerica Park, Detroit bats woke up, pounding out 14 hits in a 9-3 win. Rick Porcello was dominating, allowing only three runs and seven hits in eight innings of work, and evened his record at 2-2. Brennan Boesch and Don Kelly sparkled in the outfield, with Kelly making a diving catch in the 6th inning to help shut off a Royal threat. The two teams will finish their short series on Wednesday, with broadcast time on AM 590 WKZO set for 12:40.
